This website is dedicated, primarily, to the antique safe, lock, and time lock collection of Bill McElheney and McElheney Security Solutions.

We are a family owned business located in Toledo, OH. The McElheney family has continuously owned and operated the business since it’s inception in 1911. Today, the business is owned by Bill and Mike McElheney. We provide Locksmith, access control, automatic door, and safe and vault sales and service in Toledo and surrounding areas.

Below, you will find brief bio’s of Bill and Mike. Please feel free to browse the website and enjoy the collection. If you would like to visit the collection, we recommend calling ahead, but it is not necessary. We are here Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

    Bill purchased the company from his father in 1972. He has shaped the current success of the business with hard work and dedication.

    Bill is a Certified Master Locksmith (CML).

    He has collected unique and interesting things for most of his life.

    His current focus is on antique safes, locks, time locks, and keys.

    Through a broad network of contacts, he has built most of the collection on these pages.

    His interests outside of the business include spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and fast cars.

 

Meet the McElheneys

 

  • Mike began working in the business full time in the late 1990’s. His main interest was always safes and vaults. In the early days, he primarily moved and delivered safes. As time progressed, opening safes and vaults became the main focus.

    Mike is a Certified Master Locksmith (CML) and a Certified Master Safe Technician (CMST). He has been trained in all aspects of safe opening and repair including, but not limited to, Advanced Manipulation, High Security Safe Opening, Electronic Safe Lock Defeat, and Minimally Invasive Safe Opeining.

    Mike’s interests outside of the business include spending time with his family and working on his Jeep.
